The Chesapeake Subnet Calculator
The Chesapeake Subnet Calculator performs complex subnet calculations for you, showing the binary calculations and the resulting subnet information. The summary information shows the set of available IP addresses within a subnet as well as the subnet number and the directed broadcast address. It is a Java based applet that runs within a Java capable browser. The downloadable files include full documentation in web format as well as the applet itself.

subcalc.zip (59 k), zip file.
subcalc.tar (177 k), packaged as a Unix TAR archive.
